Getting To The High Line
It looks like these tracks haven't been touched since the last train rode on the High Line. In reality, everything was removed for the park's constructions. The original tracks were later integrated into the park's design. The overgrown vegetation is meant to look like it did during the time the railway was not used.

The Staten Island Ferry is a great complement or alternative to the Statue of Liberty ferry. It's free to ride and gives you exceptional views of New York Harbor, Staten Island, and the Verrazano Bridge. Ellis Island is visible from a distance.
